Overview

What if every time someone saw an ad for Dunkin’ or Starbucks, they thought of their neighborhood coffee shop instead? A thought that inspired SIP LOCAL. A campaign designed by Good Social to shift attention away from national coffee chains and toward Queen Beans Cafe, a local favorite in Coraopolis.

Services

Good Social developed SIP LOCAL with a simple but powerful concept: every time a customer spotted an ad from a major coffee brand whether digital, print, or otherwise, they could text in to enter a giveaway.

Our goal with this campaign was to grab attention from a national coffeehouse and direct it to our small business client in Coraopolis. Their ads turned into a moment of brand recognition for Queen Beans.

Results

Over just 10 days, the campaign sparked strong participation and repeat engagement.

- 80 total entries were received

- 28 unique participants joined in

Some customers even entered five or six times. Which proved to us how motivated Queen Beans customers were to support their local shop over a national chain.

Although our biggest accomplishment was the amount of repeat engagement. It not only proved the campaign’s ability to capture attention but also demonstrated deep customer loyalty. Which, is an essential and valuable component for any small business competing with larger corporations just up the road.
