I am the one actually writing this so we’ll see how far I can get talking about myself. Something I don’t like to do. But, I’ll give it a try.

I am a proud graduate from Robert Morris University ‘24. GO COLONIALS! I graduated with a degree in Marketing and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. During my time at Robert Morris I was a part of their Entrepreneurship Center as well as a Rockwell Fellow for Entrepreneurship. As a Fellow I received a two year scholarship along with special access to events, resources, and opportunities. It was during my time as a Fellow that I started Good Social. More specifically my spring semester of Junior year. At that point Good Social was officially an LLC. From that moment until I walked across the graduation stage I worked full time in my business as well as finished school. I was also named Entrepreneur Student of the Year my senior year. A fun way to wrap up my time in college. Freshman year Joshua barely knew what an entrepreneur was. Little did he know he’d receive an award for actually being one at the end of his college career.

Personally, I find myself to be pretty low-key. I love my early morning workouts and walks or runs in the city or any of the few state parks around my house. I am a regular at my local Dunkin. While most of my clients are located in or around the City of Pittsburgh, I am from Weirton, West Virginia.

I love cars and trucks. My favorite shows are VEEP and Contraband: Seized at The Border. I am also a Type 1 Diabetic.

I would say one of my favorite brands, Few Will Hunt, says it best if you were to ask me what my beliefs are when it comes to hard work. Actually, this is the line that attracted me to their brand in the first place, “Hard Work in a Soft World.” Honestly, I don’t think there is anything left to say. I do believe the world is getting softer and the people who are not afraid of hard work stand out among those who are. In a big way. I vibe with the people who want to earn it. Learn along the way, and use their own head to figure something out. I would say I am “one of the few,” not afraid to fail, ask questions, get involved, and get back up when I fall.

- Josh

"Whenever you're afraid to jump in, that is exactly when you jump. Otherwise you stay in the same place your whole life, and that I cannot do."

Here’s the quote that pushed Josh to start Good Social.

It echoed in his mind as he sat at Dunkin’ staring at the “submit” button on his LLC application. The choice felt huge. One click to leap forward or stay in the same place.

In that moment, the fear of looking back and never trying hit harder than the fear of stepping into the unknown. Ultimately, that’s what finally made him press submit.
