

YINZgiving began in 2020 as a community-led volunteer effort with a simple mission: deliver warm Thanksgiving meals to Pittsburgh neighbors who would otherwise have gone without. In just five years, thanks to the collective effort of volunteers, sponsors, and local partners, Yinzgiving has delivered more than 10,000 meals across Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving Day. Each year Yinzgiving continues to grow. Welcoming new volunteers, engaged sponsors, and growing partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
Good Social joined YINZgiving as a volunteer in 2023 and has since grown into a proud partner of this annual tradition. We manage YINZgiving’s media and communications. From confirming volunteer shifts, connecting with sponsors, and sharing the mission across social and digital channels. Beyond helping organize Yinzgiving’s logistics, our role is to ensure the broader community knows about the mission, supports it, and has the opportunity to contribute.
In preparation for the Roberto Clemente Foundation’s annual
2025 Ambassadors Dinner, Good Social partnered with the organization to communicate its mission, values, and impact. Our focus was on building awareness and connection ahead of the Foundation’s primary fundraising event.
In the lead-up to the dinner, we created a strategic social media content plan and developed a full grid of educational and
mission-driven content highlighting the Foundation’s three pillars: Education, Community, and Play. By working closely with members of the Foundation’s board, we ensured our work accurately reflected the organization’s values while helping their audience better understand the scope and impact of its work.
We were able to build more awareness of the Foundation, drive exposure to the event, and ultimately support the Foundation’s mission through increased visibility and engagement.
